Machine Shop Scan2000 is a reverse engineering software product. Integrated
within two CAD programs, UGNX and SolidWorks, the software expands functionality
while conforming to the pre-existing user interfaces. It includes tools for
sketcher digitizing, sketch segment control, spline creation and modification,
reference plane, surface and solids creation, along with FreeScanning, which is
designed to allow fast and accurate surface reproduction.
All part digitizing parameters and coordinate systems are integral to the host
CAD system. The reverse engineering program requires little or no learning curve
because of strict conformation to the host user interface.
